Policy

The College is committed to life long professional development of physicians. All College of Medicine continuing medical education activities are sponsored through the Office of Continuing Medical Education. The Office is responsible for assuring regulatory compliance for all College sponsored activities, for granting Category I CME credit to participants and for maintenance of records and activity reports which relate to continuing medical education.

The Medical University of South Carolina is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

In all cases the Office of CME must be contacted prior to the development of any CME activity. If the Office of CME is notified after planning and development have taken place the activity cannot be accredited. Please call the Office of CME at (843) 876-1925.
